Specialist support for small bore tubing (SBT) systems including cone and thread compression fittings. Experience covers installation guidance, leak testing procedures, punch list close-out and spares support.
Documentation & Databooks
Preparation, review and compilation of vendor databooks, as-built documentation and system completion packages. We understand what operations teams need from handover documentation and work to that standard.
Punch List & MIPS Close-Out
Systematic tracking and close-out of outstanding punch items and mechanical inspection punch sheet (MIPS) items. Experienced in managing completion records to support handover milestones without losing pace.
Technical Queries & Site Support
On-site and remote technical support for engineering queries, non-conformances and practical problem resolution during construction, commissioning and early operations. Remote and on-site support can be provided subject to availability.
Identifying & Sourcing the Right Parts
Finding the correct replacement parts for offshore vendor packages is rarely straightforward. Documentation is often incomplete, part numbers become obsolete and original manufacturers are not always the most practical route. We use engineering knowledge — not just catalogue searches — to identify the correct components and source them through suitable channels.
We regularly work from part numbers, P&ID references, GA drawings, databook references, tag numbers, photographs or a basic description of the component. If you know what you need but cannot readily identify or source the part, we can help.

Valves & Check Valves / NRVs

Project Experience
Fenton Engineering Services has direct experience across a range of offshore oil and gas projects — from greenfield developments and brownfield modifications through to commissioning support and operational spares sourcing.
Our engineering background covers offshore gas developments, oil production facilities and subsea support systems, with direct involvement in topsides system design, vendor package engineering, completions management and site-based commissioning activities.
We have worked on greenfield projects from early design through to offshore commissioning, and on brownfield modifications where understanding what is already installed is as important as delivering the new scope.
On the spares side, we have experience identifying replacement parts for vendor packages where documentation is incomplete, part numbers are obsolete or the original manufacturer is no longer the most practical supply route — working from drawings, databooks, P&IDs, photographs and technical specifications to identify and source suitable components.

Fenton Engineering Services Ltd is a specialist engineering and spares support company focused on the offshore oil and gas and wider energy sector.
We operate as a small, technically capable company — not a large consultancy. Clients deal directly with an experienced engineer rather than working through account managers or support teams. We give a clear, honest view of what we can help with and respond without unnecessary delay.
Our work sits across two areas: engineering and commissioning support for offshore projects, and the identification and sourcing of spares for offshore vendor package equipment. In practice, the two are closely linked — understanding how a system works is often the most important factor in identifying the correct replacement component.
