Engineering Services

Offshore Engineering & Commissioning Support

We provide direct technical engineering support across a range of offshore disciplines — from vendor package interface and detailed design through to commissioning and handover. Our background is practical and project-based: we understand what is needed on site as well as what is required on paper.

Engineering Support

Technical engineering support for offshore projects — system reviews, design queries, vendor interface and discipline coordination. We can work as an extension of your project team or provide standalone technical input.

Commissioning Support

Experienced in pre-commissioning, commissioning and system completion for topsides packages. We understand how to work within MC and ICAPS-based completion frameworks and can support directly on site.

Chemical Injection Systems

Engineering and commissioning support for chemical injection packages including corrosion inhibitor, scale inhibitor, biocide and MEG systems. Covers package review, documentation and spares identification.

Hydraulic Systems

Technical support for hydraulic power unit (HPU) systems and associated infrastructure. Experience includes system documentation, vendor interface, commissioning support and spares identification for HPU packages.

Methanol Injection Systems

Engineering support for methanol injection packages used in hydrate prevention and pipeline treatment. Covers design queries, commissioning support, documentation and replacement spares sourcing.

Small Bore Tubing & Cone & Thread

Specialist support for small bore tubing (SBT) systems including cone and thread compression fittings. Experience covers installation guidance, leak testing procedures, punch list close-out and spares support.

Documentation & Databooks

Preparation, review and compilation of vendor databooks, as-built documentation and system completion packages. We understand what operations teams need from handover documentation and work to that standard.

Punch List & MIPS Close-Out

Systematic tracking and close-out of outstanding punch items and mechanical inspection punch sheet (MIPS) items. Experienced in managing completion records to support handover milestones without losing pace.

Technical Queries & Site Support

On-site and remote technical support for engineering queries, non-conformances and practical problem resolution during construction, commissioning and early operations. Remote and on-site support can be provided subject to availability.

Offshore Package Spares

Identifying & Sourcing the Right Parts

Finding the correct replacement parts for offshore vendor packages is rarely straightforward. Documentation is often incomplete, part numbers become obsolete and original manufacturers are not always the most practical route. We use engineering knowledge — not just catalogue searches — to identify the correct components and source them through suitable channels.

We regularly work from part numbers, P&ID references, GA drawings, databook references, tag numbers, photographs or a basic description of the component. If you know what you need but cannot readily identify or source the part, we can help.

Filters & Filter Elements

Replacement filter elements and housings for process, hydraulic and chemical injection systems — including basket strainers, duplex filters and coalescing elements.

Valves & Check Valves / NRVs

Ball valves, needle valves, check valves, non-return valves and relief valves for high-pressure and process systems. Sourced to match original specifications or suitable equivalents.

Instrumentation

Pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters, flow switches, level switches and associated instrumentation for offshore package systems.

Gauges

Pressure gauges, temperature gauges, differential pressure gauges and accessories to OEM or approved equivalent specification.

Fittings & Small Bore Tubing Components

Compression fittings, cone and thread components, tube fittings, reducers and associated SBT materials — including Swagelok-type and equivalent fittings across standard tube sizes.

Hydraulic Components

Hydraulic fittings, seals, accumulators, manifolds, solenoid valves and HPU spare parts including pump components and fluid system hardware.

Chemical Injection Package Spares

Metering pump internals, injection quills, pulsation dampeners, seals, diaphragms and ancillary chemical injection system components.

Vendor Package Replacement Parts

General replacement spares for offshore vendor packages — working from drawings, databooks or part numbers, including obsolete and discontinued components where alternatives can be identified.

Need a Part?

Whether you have a part number, P&ID reference, GA drawing, databook reference, tag number or simply a photograph of the component, we can help identify and source the correct replacement.

We regularly assist clients where documentation is incomplete, part numbers have become obsolete or OEM information is unavailable. Send us what you have and we will work from there.

Equipment Knowledge

Familiarity with Industry-Leading Manufacturers

We have engineering experience working with equipment and components associated with a range of manufacturers common in offshore oil and gas applications. This practical familiarity — developed through direct project work — means we can interpret documentation, identify components and source suitable replacements with confidence.

We are not an authorised distributor or partner of any manufacturer listed below. References reflect engineering experience with equipment of these types only and do not imply endorsement, approval or official affiliation.

LEWA

Metering and process diaphragm pumps widely used in chemical injection packages. Experience with pump internals, diaphragm assemblies, valve kits and associated spares.

Haskel

High-pressure intensifiers, gas boosters and pneumatically-driven liquid pumps used in chemical injection and hydraulic test applications. Experience with seal kits and pump components.

Parker

Hydraulic and pneumatic components including fittings, seals, valves and tubing — across both Parker Hannifin and Parker Autoclave Engineers product lines.

Swagelok

Tube fittings, valves, regulators and small bore tubing components commonly specified across offshore process and instrument applications — metric and imperial tube sizes.

HIP

High Integrity Pressure products — high-pressure valves, fittings and tubing for extreme pressure applications including cone and thread components and associated assemblies.

Autoclave Engineers

High-pressure fittings, valves and tubing used in chemical injection and offshore instrumentation. Experience sourcing direct replacements and suitable equivalents.

Emerson

Process instrumentation including pressure transmitters, temperature transmitters and control valves from the Rosemount and Fisher product ranges common in offshore applications.

WIKA

Pressure and temperature measurement instrumentation including gauges, diaphragm seals and transmitters. Experience specifying and sourcing direct replacements for WIKA instruments.

AS-Schneider

Instrument valves, manifolds and valve blocks used in offshore instrumentation and process measurement — monoflange, twin-valve and multi-valve manifold assemblies.

Track Record

Project Experience

Fenton Engineering Services has direct experience across a range of offshore oil and gas projects — from greenfield developments and brownfield modifications through to commissioning support and operational spares sourcing.

Our engineering background covers offshore gas developments, oil production facilities and subsea support systems, with direct involvement in topsides system design, vendor package engineering, completions management and site-based commissioning activities.

We have worked on greenfield projects from early design through to offshore commissioning, and on brownfield modifications where understanding what is already installed is as important as delivering the new scope.

On the spares side, we have experience identifying replacement parts for vendor packages where documentation is incomplete, part numbers are obsolete or the original manufacturer is no longer the most practical supply route — working from drawings, databooks, P&IDs, photographs and technical specifications to identify and source suitable components.

The Company

About Fenton Engineering Services

Fenton Engineering Services Ltd is a specialist engineering and spares support company focused on the offshore oil and gas and wider energy sector.

We operate as a small, technically capable company — not a large consultancy. Clients deal directly with an experienced engineer rather than working through account managers or support teams. We give a clear, honest view of what we can help with and respond without unnecessary delay.

Our work sits across two areas: engineering and commissioning support for offshore projects, and the identification and sourcing of spares for offshore vendor package equipment. In practice, the two are closely linked — understanding how a system works is often the most important factor in identifying the correct replacement component.

We place particular importance on technical accuracy, whether that means producing documentation that reflects what is actually installed, identifying a part from limited information, or resolving a query on site under time pressure.

Technical

Engineering-led thinking applied to both project support and spares identification. We understand the systems, not just the part numbers.

Practical

Focused on what works in a project or operational context — not theoretical solutions that don't survive contact with site conditions.

Reliable

Direct communication, accurate outputs and realistic timescales. We do not overpromise and we follow through on what we commit to.
